🌙 Walking alone at night can feel unsettling—especially for those who’ve experienced or fear gender-based harm.

While safety isn’t always within our control, there are steps we can take to help prioritize it when we’re able.

These tips, adapted from @humberpoly, are here to support you:

🔹 Walk with purpose and choose well-lit routes when possible.
🔹 Keep valuables out of sight to avoid drawing attention.
🔹 If you’re carrying a bag, wear the strap across your chest for added security.
🔹 Travel with others when you can—community helps.
🔹 Trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right, it’s okay to turn around or seek a safe space.
🔹 If you feel unsafe, make noise or draw attention to yourself to alert others nearby.
