Discover EmPACT - Employer Prevention of Abuse through Certification and Training.
EmPACT is a unique corporate training program that certifies your team in recognizing and supporting colleagues who may be experiencing (or perpetrating) domestic violence – also known as intimate partner violence (IPV). The certification is comprised of an engaging & interactive workshop, followed by a comprehensive test to complete the accreditation process.
At the end of the workshop, your team are assessed through our online testing platform. Upon successful completion, each employee is officially EmPACT-certified. When 70% of your organization are certified, we confer a company-level EmPACT certification, signifying to your stakeholders and the public that you are committed to doing your part in eradicating violence against women and protecting your employees.

IPV in the workplace
Program Design
EmPACT certification focuses on an intensive workshop delivered to your workforce by WomenatthecentrE’s trained facilitators. Our interactive modules are centred around 3 fundamental pillars: See, Say, and Support. We have developed two variations of the program – one geared towards a general employee position, and one geared towards a management-level position.
See
Your employees become aware of what to look for, and identify the comprehensive signs of IPV.
Say
Become trained in the best ways to engage both a colleague and your organization.
Support
Implement a framework for how your company and each employee can support those in need.
For businesses, there are 3 tiers of EmPACT certification. The Standard level is attained once 70% of your employees are individually EmPACT-certified. The Essentials level encompasses Standard, plus our facilitation of the upgrade of internal policies such as IPV-related SOPs, adherence to provincial legislation, and more. The Advanced level encompasses Essentials, plus our facilitation of the creation & adoption of comprehensive internal policies such as tailored employee safety plans, access to customized resources, industry benchmarking, and more.
